A Preemptive Pardon for Fauci Would Shatter Public Trust
Pardoning Fauci Would Be the Ultimate Ethical Bridge Too Far
In recent news, the outgoing administration is floating a preemptive pardon for Dr. Anthony Fauci. This would be a staggering miscarriage of justice and a preemptive erasure of accountability for one of the most culpable figures in creating and fostering the COVID-19 crisis. To pardon Dr. Fauci would not clear his name; it is all but an admission of guilt and a punch in the gut to the countless victims of COVID-related policies, protocols, and mandates, a dismissal of systemic harms, and a great disservice to the principles of justice and truth.
Dr. Fauci’s decisions, public pronouncements, and the policies he forced on the world during his tenure have left a trail of devastation. Through our work at the FormerFedsGroup Freedom Foundation (FFFF), we’ve documented thousands of reasons that illuminate why a pardon is morally indefensible, in the form of interviews with hundreds and hundreds of victims. Here are four reasons this preemptive pardon is a nonstarter.
The Ethical Case Against a Preemptive Pardon
1. Complicity in Deadly, Incentivized Protocols
Under Dr. Fauci's leadership, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) endorsed the use of ‘Emergency Use’ protocols that have been linked to catastrophic outcomes, including but not limited to the widespread, incentivized administration of EUA drugs including remdesivir and use of ventilators in hospitals. Despite mounting evidence of severe side effects and questions about efficacy, these protocols were heavily promoted, while off-label treatments or other countermeasures were subject to fraudulent studies and dishonest propaganda discouraging their use. Strict hospital protocols served to create fraudulent COVID death numbers to foster demand for experimental “vaccines” and pave the way for draconian mandates. Thousands of families have shared stories of loved ones who have suffered and died as a result of these policies and protocols, hundreds of which have been documented in our living archive at chbmp.org, yet there has been no public reckoning for the role Dr. Fauci played in advancing these policies. Without such a reckoning, it will be impossible for the public to regain faith in their institutions or to prevent this tragedy being repeated.
2. Obfuscation of “Research” Funding
Dr. Fauci’s involvement in directing funds to gain-of-function research—much of which has been linked to the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus—raises grave ethical and legal questions. Though he has repeatedly denied knowledge or responsibility (Fauci Said He Could ‘Not Recall’ Specifics on Covid Origins, Pandemic-Era Policies over 100 Times in Closed-Door Testimony), public records and whistleblower testimony suggest otherwise. A preemptive pardon would close the door on the critical investigations needed to fully understand his role in these decisions and their devastating global ramifications. Without accountability, there is nothing to stop these mad scientists from continuing this dangerous “research” at our expense, and they will continue to endanger humanity.
3. The Weaponization of Public Health
Dr. Fauci claimed to be “the science,” while his actions during the pandemic exemplified the politicization of science. From mask mandates to social distancing to lockdowns, his guidance often contradicted itself, sowing distrust in public health institutions. Worse still, Fauci ensured that dissenting voices in the medical and scientific communities were systematically silenced, deplatformed, and delegitimized, creating a chilling effect that stifled necessary debate and inquiry. Doctors who sought to treat their patients with safe, off-label medications had their licenses threatened and, in some cases, even revoked. These actions undermined informed consent and public trust, pillars of ethical governance, and deprived citizens of their rights.
4. Vaccine Mandates and Severe Adverse Effects
Under Dr. Fauci’s guidance, “vaccine” mandates were rolled out without informed consent or with minimal acknowledgment of potential risks or long-term consequences, with the products often shipping with blank package inserts. Millions of individuals, including many frontline workers previously hailed as “heroes” by Fauci, were coerced into compliance under threat of losing their livelihoods or worse. Adverse effects were vastly more widespread than initially disclosed, and untold numbers of people were, and are still, being harmed. Evidence of natural immunity was largely dismissed and derided. Traditional and newly discovered, actually effective treatments alike were withheld. The vax-injured had their stories suppressed because they might create “hesitancy,” while employers were strongarmed into requiring their workers remain “up-to-date” with experimental and often ineffective boosters.
The Broader Implications of a Pardon
A preemptive pardon for Dr. Fauci would send a dangerous message: that those in power are above accountability. It would undermine trust in institutions already seen by many as corrupt and unresponsive to the people they serve. Moreover, it would set a precedent for shielding high-profile figures from the consequences of their actions, regardless of the harm caused.
Our justice system is built on the principle that no one is above the law. By sidestepping accountability, a pardon would deny the public the transparency and the justice that they deserve. Families who lost loved ones due to hospital protocols, individuals harmed by COVID mandates, and the broader population who bore the brunt of deeply misguided policies deserve answers—not an erasure of culpability.
FFFF’s Call to Action
At the FormerFedsGroup Freedom Foundation, we remain steadfast in our mission to uncover the truth and advocate for those harmed by COVID-related crimes against humanity. Pardoning Dr. Fauci would be a betrayal of every victim, every whistleblower, and every concerned citizen who has fought for justice and accountability.
Although we strongly feel it is a miscarriage of justice for the acting POTUS to pardon his son, we understand the impetus of a father to protect his child. In the case of others also floated for preemptive pardons, we believe they should be subject to the same kind of rigid scrutiny they subjected the former and future President to, but we can even understand the impetus to protect those who sought to support your agendas regardless of whether they had to sacrifice their credibility or careers to do it.
Tony Fauci’s proposed preemptive pardon is inexcusable. This is a man who used his position to undermine the public health and cause untold harm those he swore to protect, who conducted reprehensible experiments on innocents - people and animals alike - who used our tax dollars to create a gain-of-function virus and then used its release to puff himself up, enrich himself and his agencies, depose a duly elected president, and abuse the American people and the people of the world anywhere that was foolhardy enough to heed his guidance, while exploiting the crisis he created and fostered to justify censoring Americans who were just trying to share their own experience. While Tony Fauci labored to ensure that the virus and its remedies were politicized, the investigation and prosecution of Tony Fauci is not and should never be political. Everyone in this nation has been harmed by his ghoulish behavior, regardless of political affiliation.
We urge lawmakers, the media, and the public to resist this ethical bridge too far. A preemptive pardon would not be an act of compassion or reconciliation—it would be a denial of truth and a forfeiture of justice. Let us stand firm in demanding that no one, no matter how powerful, is above the law.
For the victims, for the truth, and for justice—this fight is far from over.
